Terms and Conditions of Sale (T&Cs) and Booking Conditions
1. Scope of application
These general terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between:
Domaine de Mont-Renaud Sàrl
Route du Mont-Renaud 21, 2926 Boncourt, Switzerland
(hereinafter: “the Hotel”)
and the customer (hereinafter: “the Guest”).
They apply to all reservations made directly or indirectly with the Hotel.
Any specific conditions agreed in writing shall prevail over these General Terms and Conditions.
2. Conclusion of the contract
The contract is concluded upon acceptance of the reservation by the Hotel (written confirmation by email or other means).
Reservations made via third-party platforms are also subject to these Terms and Conditions, unless otherwise stated by those platforms.
3. Services
Hotel services are determined by the reservation confirmation.
Additional services (breakfast, parking, spa, etc.) are only included if expressly stated.
4. Prices
Prices are indicated in Swiss francs (CHF) and generally include VAT.
Unless otherwise stated, the following are not included:
- tourist tax
- additional services
The Hotel may adjust its prices at any time. The applicable price is the one confirmed at the time of booking.
5. Payment terms
The Hotel is entitled to request:
- a credit card guarantee
- a deposit
- advance payment
Accepted payment methods:
- major credit cards
- cash (CHF)
The Hotel may perform a pre-authorisation on the Guest’s credit card.
In case of non-payment, the Hotel may refuse to provide the service.
6. Cancellation, modification and no-show
6.1 General principle
Cancellation conditions depend on the booked rate.
6.2 Standard conditions (example)
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival
- Late cancellation: charge of 1 to 3 nights
- No-show: 100% of the stay or minimum 1 night charged
6.3 Special offers
Non-refundable rates:
- cannot be modified or cancelled
- are fully payable
6.4 Early departure
In case of early departure, the full reserved stay may be charged.
7. Arrival and departure
Check-in: from 3:00 PM
Check-out: until 11:00 AM
For arrivals after 9:00 PM, the Guest must inform the Hotel in advance.
Otherwise, the room may be reallocated.
8. Room usage
Rooms may only be occupied by the agreed number of persons.
Any non-compliant use may result in:
- additional charges
- immediate termination of the contract
9. Guest obligations
The Guest agrees to:
- respect the facilities
- avoid any disturbance
- comply with internal house rules
- The Guest is liable for any damage caused by themselves or accompanying persons.
10. Hotel liability
Within the limits of Swiss law:
- The Hotel’s liability is limited to damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence
- The Hotel declines any liability for:
personal belongings not stored securely,
actions of third parties,
force majeure events
Swiss statutory provisions regarding hotel liability remain reserved.
11. Pets
Pets are allowed under conditions and may be subject to an additional fee.
12. Force majeure
In case of force majeure (natural disaster, pandemic, administrative decision, etc.), the Hotel may:
cancel or modify the reservation without compensation.
13. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with Swiss data protection law (FADP).
It is used exclusively for:
- reservation management
- customer relations

14. Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers:
- are valid for 24 months
- are non-refundable
- must be used subject to availability
15. Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies.
The place of jurisdiction is the Hotel’s registered office: Boncourt.
16. Severability clause
If any provision of these Terms is invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in force.
17. Acceptance
Any reservation implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Specific Terms – Seminars, Groups and Events
18. Scope of application (groups and seminars)
These provisions apply to:
- any booking of more than 4 rooms
- any event (seminar, conference, banquet, wedding, etc.)
(hereinafter: “the Group” or “the Event”)
They supplement the general Terms and Conditions.
19. Booking and confirmation
Any group or seminar request is subject to:
- a written offer
- a signed confirmation by the Client
The reservation becomes binding upon receipt of:
- the signed confirmation
- and/or a deposit
The Hotel may set an option deadline after which the spaces are released.
20. Deposit and payment terms
Unless otherwise agreed:
- 30% to 50% upon confirmation
- final balance payable no later than 10 days after the event
The Hotel may request:
- a bank guarantee
- or a credit card guarantee
In case of late payment, the Hotel may cancel the reservation.
21. Number of participants
The Client must provide:
- an estimated number at the time of booking
- a final number no later than 7 days before the event
This number will serve as the basis for invoicing.
Tolerance
A variation of ±10% is generally accepted without major changes.
22. Cancellation – groups and seminars
22.1 Principle
Any cancellation must be made in writing.
22.2 Standard conditions
In case of cancellation, the following fees may apply:
- More than 180 days before the event: Deposit refunded, minus administrative fees
- Between 179 and 90 days: Deposit retained by the Estate
- Less than 89 days: 100% of the contractual amount is due
These percentages apply to:
- full estate privatisation
- reserved rooms
23. Reduction in numbers (attrition)
Any reduction in participant numbers is considered a partial cancellation.
Charges may apply according to the above conditions.
24. Room allocation
Rooms are made available according to the agreed schedule.
Any overrun may result in additional charges.
The Hotel reserves the right:
- to change the assigned room if necessary
- while ensuring an equivalent standard of service
25. Catering and beverages
Catering services must be confirmed in advance.
- all food and beverages are exclusively provided by the Hotel
- no external catering is permitted
26. Technical equipment
The Hotel provides:
- the agreed equipment (projector, screen, sound system, etc.)
The Client is responsible for:
- equipment brought in by them
- its installation (unless otherwise agreed)
Any damage will be charged.
27. Accommodation (groups)
A nominative list of participants must be provided before arrival.
Unused rooms may be charged according to the cancellation conditions.
28. Liability and insurance
The Client is responsible for:
- any damage caused to premises, equipment, or staff
- the behaviour of participants
The Hotel may require liability insurance for certain events.
29. Disturbance and permits
The Client must comply with:
- noise regulations
- legal quiet hours (especially regarding sound levels)
Any administrative authorisations (e.g. music, public event permits) are the responsibility of the Client.
30. Force majeure
In the event of force majeure:
- either party may terminate the contract
- no compensation shall be due
31. Governing law and jurisdiction
In accordance with the General Terms and Conditions:
